Welcome to the MAMAC blog!

Welcome, friends, to the official blog for the 2011 Fringe production
The Magical Marriage Computer and Other Plays !

"The Magical Marriage Computer and Other Plays" [henceforth "MAMAC" for short] is a smorgasbord of theatrical delights, a passel of thoughtful theatrical confections, a light and refreshing 75-minute entertainment consisting of a half-dozen unrelated short plays and other enjoyables. Six short stories, from serious character drama to sex comedy, featuring magical vegetables, Punch and Judy, awkward lap dances, cosmic cataclysms and breakfast with Johnny Depp. Plus, live music!

This production is presented as a part of the 2011 Capital Fringe Festival.
A program of the Washington, DC non-profit Capital Fringe.

The plays are written by DC playwright Brett Steven Abelman, who wrote last year's well-received The Water Plays. While the The Water Plays was a cohesive trilogy, MAMAC is more of a collection or a variety show, concerned generally with the nature of love and attraction.

Keep up with this blog for updates on the whens and wheres of the performance as well as insights into the process of putting together this Fringe production.

See the "Performance Schedule" post below for information on where and when to see MAMAC.

Hope to see you this summer!
